A service for life

Our guarantees don’t stop after completion

A Lifetime Mortgage is designed to run for the duration of your lifetime, until you pass away or enter into long-term care, and we will do our bit for you every step of the way. Here are some of the ways that we will support you along your Lifetime Mortgage journey.

Our safeguards

We are proud members of the Equity Release Council, the industry body that represents the equity release sector and aims to promote excellent standards of conduct and practice.

The Equity Release Council sets out five distinct product standards, along with principles and customer outcomes that aim to do the best for customers. These include:

  • Interest rates that are fixed for life.
  • A no-negative-equity guarantee, which means you’ll never owe more than the value of your home.
  • The right to remain in your property for life and the right to move to another property, providing that it meets our standards.

We comply with the Council’s principles, standards and outcomes to ensure the best outcome for our customers.

Consistent communication

We want you to feel confident and informed about your Lifetime Mortgage, so we’ll keep in touch with you regularly.

Every year, we’ll send you a statement that shows how much you owe, how much interest has accumulated on your Lifetime Mortgage and how much you have repaid, if you have chosen to make repayments. We’ll also let you know if there are any changes that might affect your Lifetime Mortgage.

A dedicated customer service team

Our friendly and helpful Customer Service Team are always ready to assist you. Whether you are looking to move to a new home, access more money from your Drawdown facility, or simply check your account details, they are here to help.

You can reach the Customer Service Team by phone or email from Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, excluding bank holidays. They will be available for the duration of your Lifetime Mortgage journey to ensure that you have a smooth experience.
