Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA Standard. Below, you will find details of any non-compliance.

Non-accessible Content

The content listed below is non-accessible, for the following reasons:

PDF

Some of the PDFs don’t meet accessibility standards. For example, tables and form fields are not properly structured so that they can’t be accessed to screen readers. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria:

  • 1.1.1 - Non-text Content
  • 1.3.1 - Info and Relationships
  • 1.4.4 - Resize Text
  • 2.4.2 - Page Titled
  • 2.4.3 - Focus Order
  • 3.2.2 - On Input

Cookies

The cookie banner doesn’t meet accessibility standards. For example, buttons and tab panels are not provided with name, role, and value, so they can’t be identified by screen readers. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria:

  • 3.2.2 - On Input
  • 4.1.2 - Name, Role, Value

Images

Images don’t meet accessibility standards. As they are not provided with text alternative. So, people using screen reader will not be able to understand the information conveyed by the images. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria:

  • 1.1.1 - Non-text Content
  • 1.2.1 - Audio-only and Video-only (Prerecorded)

Navigation

Links don’t meet accessibility standards. Some links are not descriptive to the screen readers and does not provide a hint of links opening in a new tab/window. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria:

  • 2.4.4 - Link Purpose (In Context)
  • 3.2.2 - On Input

Untested functionality

The Adviser authenticated journey has not been audited as the functionality will be integrated with the core Royal London estate within the next year. At this point any current accessibility issues will be addressed.
